Imogen Woods - Yoga instructor, actress.
Imogen started her journey of movement and expression at the Oxford School of Drama. After many years of practice, she found that she could integrate her love of play with movement, teaching yoga to children after completing her training in Auckland. Wanting to challenge herself more and to grow in her practice, she completed her training 200-hour yoga teacher training with Octavio Salvado in Bali in 2016. She loves life, loves yoga and is passionate about sharing both of these and much more of herself, in a nurturing and heartfelt way.

She is an embodied, passionate soulful teacher, who has been studying Yoga, Meditation and Healing with master teachers since 1997 and has been teaching since 2002.
Sarsha founded Ecstatic Dance inQueenstown, and is currently an Alumini Lululemon ambassador: teaching retreats & workshops, both nationally and internationally. Her offerings blend together the best elements of Hatha, Vinyasa, Mindfulness, Embodiment practices and Philosophy. They are flowing and grounded, providing an opportunity to dive deep into the souls’ inner waters taking you on a journey into meditative states, a deeper understanding of self and our inter-connectivity to the whole. Known for bringing a resonant, relevant voice that speaks directly to body, heart and soul, Sarsha offers a direct experience of deepening your understanding of your body systems, tissues, cells, psychological, spiritual, and energetic aspects of self.

Acharya (spiritual teacher)Shankar
Shankar has been practicing yoga at the age of 11 in traditional schooling in India. He follows his Guru Swami Janardananand Maharaj. His guru
(Spiritual master) is from Himalaya with the Swami Shivananda tradition (Divine Life Society). Shankar is holding a master's degree in yogic sciences from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University in Haridwar, India.
He started teaching yoga since 2007 and holds teaching assignments in a different part of India and South East Asia. Since 2011 he had been teaching in Vietnam before moving to New Zealand. He was teaching in Rotorua and Hamilton and still giving his yoga workshops around New Zealand. Presently he is giving his service and sharing his experience to The Yoga Space, New Plymouth.
His teaching is based on yogic philosophy, spiritual anatomy with the yogic aspect of anatomy. His teaching technique focuses on breathing & alignment of the body with traditional aspects including modern methodology. He strongly believes in Bhakti yoga (devotional part of yoga) therefore he shares his meditation practice and experience with people while teaching the mantra meditation class. His goal is to increase people’s awareness of their lives so they can enjoy consciously.
Zach and Jamie - The life Force Movement as wellness therapy
Zach andJamie have both spent their youth playing a range of sport and found themselves entering their adult lives broken and in pain. Since then they have walked their own journeys back to the Freedom of Movement through a Movement Based Approach to Life. Along both of their paths they've acquired tools and skills that made each next step possible, and now they want to share their methods with the world. The Life Force Movement specialise in Human Movement that starts from the basics of how the body is build to stand and walk through to Elite Sports Performance.

Ria Simmons -Yoga teacher and performing artist
Ria Simmons’s journey into Yoga began at 17. She was studying full time at the New Zealand School of Dance. Placed in such an intense environment, yoga provided the release she needed physically and mentally. She got hooked. She went on to study a Bachelor of Performing Arts-Acting at Toi Whakaari, NZ Drama School, where her passion for movement, making people connect and feel was highlighted.
Beginning teaching yoga was her next step, discovering it was the perfect vehicle toutilise her skills whilst fulfilling her desire to help others. Following attaining her Yoga Teaching Certificate, she dived straight into teaching, sharing her knowledge whilst embracing the fact that the learning for a teacher and a student is endless. With her dance background,
Ria enjoys teaching strong vinyasa flow classes but also appreciates the balance that Yin practice brings providing a space to slow down and reconnect.
Ria loves continuing to share the ways yoga can support us to feel more grounded, connected and present in our everyday lives. She looks forward to meeting you on the mat to share this journey with you.
