Each day, we are exposed to toxins—through the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the products we use. Even our thoughts and emotions, when negative or repressed, can be as unhealthy as a poor diet or sedentary lifestyle. This class helps you remove the physical and emotional impurities that prevent you from achieving your optimal health. In this class we practice traditional sun salutation along with some rhythmic postures and powerful pranayama (breathing techniques). This special class will maintain mucus in your body; it will cleanse your nostril and its path, boost your immunity and rid the body of unwanted ailments.

Workshops with Sandey Hoskin

Sandey Hoskin Workshops

Sandey has been practicing yoga for over 12 years and teaching for 10 years, trained in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. She currently teaches Hatha and Vinyasa based classes which are comprised of a mix of alignment based asana, pranayama, mantra, philosophy and energetics. Sandey teaches mainly in a studio environment, but also teaches corporates, privates and within the community/special events. She is able to bring a depth to students yoga practice by offering a practice that allows them to stop and tune in to whatever they bring to the mat, to feel nurtured and nourished, with the intention for them to leave feeling both energised and peaceful, offering tools and techniques to continue their practice off the mat in their lives. Sandey teaches yoga to bring about change in people's life for the better, to allow them to discover their true nature beyond the stresses and busyness of life, via breath, movement and energetics such as the chakras, gunas and doshas. She has also been a massage therapist for over 25 years and has an extensive understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Sandey moved from Wellington to Auckland 4 years ago to set up Om Yoga Studio in Auckland with her business partner Fiona Liu. She has helped develop and put together a comprehensive 200hr Teacher Training program which, for the past 5 years has led along with Kylie Rook and Fiona Liu. Most recently Sandey embarked on putting together a 300hr Advanced Teacher Training to allow teachers to gain their 500hr RYTT certification. 

Foundations of Flow - Join Sandey for a two and a half hour Vinyasa Masterclass. Explore the strongest and safest alignment for the poses of Sun A/B, Pranayama, Drishti, Bhandas, Yoga philosophy and more! Expect personal attention, hands on assists and plenty of chances to ask questions.

Once you learn the techniques and to fire the right muscles you will feel lighter so that you can find the potential to fly. 2 hours allows us time for lecture, practice, demos, questions, practice, practice and more practice! Come with an open mind and playful attitude!

Teacher Training Session - Topics to be covered include Yin/Yang sequencing, refinement of cues/some sequencing and practice teaching with feedback. 
With Sandey’s powerful vocals and dynamic, and her focused and caring teaching style, she wants to allow people to find the freedom in their own practice. To be exactly who they are without judgment but with encouragement to be the best they can possibly be in their practice and in their life while in a safe and caring environment.
